The People’s Café will host a Bead for Life Party to help teach people about the Ugandan woman who are bringing their families out of poverty through their handmade beaded jewelry.
Three short films will be shown from 7 to 8 p.m. followed by a discussion of the movies from 8 to 8:30 p.m. and an “Empowering Women” activity. From 8:30 to 9 p.m., there will be a sale of Bead for Life beads. The event will also feature raffles and a free Bead for Life gift given to each attendee at the end of the event.
