Carved in Stone is a 90 minute walking tour through Newport's oldest and largest colonial graveyard, the Common Burying Ground. You will learn the meaning of the bizarre skulls topping gravestones, see rare and strange carvings and discover the final resting place of some of Newport's most famous and "infamous" residents. The walk departs from the Newport Visitor's Center on Saturdays in October at 4pm. Tickets available online or at the Newport Visitor's Center.
