Come tap your toes or swing your partner to the beat of the 40's Big Band sounds by Arnie's Swing Machine August 14th, 5-7 pm.It will again be held in your own backyard at St. James Church located at 3209 Via Lido in Newport Beach. The church by the Balboa Bay offers “Jazz on the Courtyard” as a free gift to the community and all are welcome to attend. Neighborhood restaurants join the fun by providing some of their signature dishes for a nominal fee, including Alta Coffee, Avila’s El Ranchito Restaurant, Blue Water Grill, Laventina’s Big Cheese Pizza, and Newport Rib Company. August’s featured music is provided by “Arnie’s Swing Machine,” a seven-piece 40’s Big Band orchestra playing all your jazz favorites from Frank Sinatra to Jazz, Swing, Rock, Latin Rhythms and Ballroom Dance.
