Isherwood Gallery is exhibiting “New Works by Mikel Wintermantel, Copley Master” featuring recent landscapes of Newport. The opening reception is Friday, May 18th, from 6 to 8pm. Mikel Wintermantel has had an expeditious rise in the art world with his luminous landscapes. He was accepted into the prestigious Copley Society in 2002 and attained Copley Master status in 2006. He was also awarded the John Singleton Copley Award for Outstanding Artistic Achievement. He has been featured in American Artist magazine, Watercolor magazine and others. Meet the artist while enjoying light refreshments. Free and open to the public. This show is open through June 17th. In addition, Mikel will be teaching a two day painting workshop at the gallery on May 19th and 20th. Space is still available.
