newportFILM & Newport Folk Festival have teamed up to bring you this amazing documentary of "the greatest 70s rock icon who never was" and bring "Sugar Man" Rodriguez, himself, to Newport and the famed stage of the Newport Folk Festival.

A bootleg recording found its way into apartheid South Africa and, over the next two decades, it became a phenomenon. This is the story of two intrepid fans who decide to investigate whatever happened to the mysterious rocker.
