A lively, interactive waterfront block party is coming to Newport at the First Annual Stop & Shop Harborfest featuring Festival Fete. Festival Fete, a local art festival production company, will help create a one-of-a-kind local art ‘happening’ featuring an extraordinary collection of over 40 contemporary American Hand Craft artisans and mesmerizing interactive and strolling entertainment (including RI's own Big Nazo, Ten31 Productions & All Hands Drumming), intermingled with festive bitesfestive bites, shoreline favorites, live music and a boardwalk of amusements from bumper boats and trike races to free Newport harbor cruises.
The Harborfest gates will open at noon each day and close at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets are $10 each, and children under 12 are FREE with an accompanying adult.
