The Guastavino Family & the Creation of Great American Architecture

John Ochsendorf, Associate Professor of Architecture at MIT will present and illustrated lecture on the history and technology of Gustavino tile vaulting as is found in The Breakers along with many other buildings in Newport and across the United States. 

This lecture is co-sponsored by the American Institute of Architects-RI. Members of this organization and Preservation Society Members will be admitted for free. Non-member admission is $5. Advanced reservations are requested and can be made by calling 847-1000 ext. 160.
