Join the Yale Spizzwinks(?) on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 for an unforgettable performance of a cappella music and comedy at the Jane Pickens Theater. The Spizzwinks(?) are honored to be performing in such a beautiful and historic venue--America's oldest underclassman a cappella group will be singing in one of the nation's oldest theaters!
The Spizzwinks(?) is America’s oldest underclassman a cappella group, founded in 1914 as a satirical response to the Yale Whiffenpoofs. With a diverse repertoire ranging from traditional Yale songs and jazz standards to pop and rock n’ roll, the members of the Spizzwinks(?) continue to perform and entertain with the same musicianship, humor, and camaraderie of their founding members 98 years ago. The Spizzwinks(?) tour the globe each year, performing in Asia, South America, Africa, Europe, and throughout the United States. In recent years, the Spizzwinks(?) fan club has grown to include Magic Johnson, Henry Kissinger, Kelsey Grammer, former Governor George Pataki, Senator John Kerry, and Fred Savage, as well as audiences at ESPN, Carnegie Hall, Disney World, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and the White House.
Tickets for the concert will be $15 each and will be available at the door and online at either www.janepickens.com or spizzwinks.ticketbud.com/janepickens.
