The Martin Luther KIng Center is appealing for children's toys for the holidays.

NEWPORT, RI — The Martin Luther King Center is looking at a different kind of bare cupboard this week.

"Because of generous people and businesses from across Newport County, we've got enough food to feed over 2,000 people for both holidays," the center said.. "But, our Santa's Workshop closet needs filling."
