Jamestown Bridge Lane Closed this Week
If you're heading to to Jamestown or Aquidneck Island this week, there could be delays.

The passing lane on the Jamestown-Verrazzano Bridge heading east lane will be closed this week for bridge repair work, according to the Rhode Island Bridge and Turnpike Authority.
The closure will last all week beginning Monday morning at 9 a.m. and will run through Sunday, Oct. 25, weather permitting.
“The construction on the Jamestown-Verrazzano Bridge is the result of findings within the 2015 Biennial Bridge Inspection,” RIBTA said in a release. “The construction work being completed includes: replacing steel hatches, concrete repair on the bridge deck, replacing drainage troughs, repairing expansion joints, and repairing damaged guard rails.”
