Looking for Descendants of Nellie May Burton (1879 - 1931)

Commemorative ceremony being planned to honor Private Arthur M. Burton

The Rhode Island World War One Centennial Commission (RIWW1CC) is seeking descendants of Nellie May Burton (1879-1931) of Newport, Rhode Island. She was the wife of Benjamin Franklin Burton (1876-1957) and the aunt of Private Arthur M. Burton who was killed in action in September 1918 during World War I.

The RIWW1CC is planning to commemorate Private Burton's service and sacrifice and would like to include his living relatives. Please contact Matthew McCoy at riww1cc@gmail.com for more information.
