Mama Leone's to Re-Open in Shopping Center on Bellevue Avenue
The restaurant was shuttered after a car plowed through the front on Connell Highway, but now a new eatery is opening in the old spot, too.

NEWPORT, RI —Wednesday night's City Council agenda includes one tasty item, a new victualing license for Mama Leone's opening at 266 Bellevue Ave.
The restaurant is moving into a storefront in the shopping center near the Stop & Shop.
According to the license application, the hours of operation will be 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. There will be seating for about 40, with tables and booths.

Mama Leone's has been closed since March when a driver lost control of his car and smashed through the front of the building on Connell Highway.
But workmen were on site Dec. 2 removing the plywood and installing new windows. A new restaurant is opening there in a few weeks. Joanna Reves of North Kingstown is listed as the owner.

Both the Mama Leone's on Bellevue Avenue and the Antonio's opening in the Connell Highway spot are under the same ownership.
