Newport Police Rescue Old Blind Cat
The neutered male walks with a limp and was found on Hammond Street on Monday. Police are looking to reunite him with his owner.

Newport police are hoping to reunite an old and blind cat with its owner after he was found on Hammond Street on Monday.
Police said the cat is neutered, declawed, blind and has a pelvic injury so he walks with a limp.
He’s also “very sweet,” according to a post on the police department’s Facebook page.

If you know the owner or if it’s your call, call Newport Police Animal Control Officer Sweeney at 401-847-1307 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The cat is currently in the care of an animal hospital, police said.
