• City of Janesville announces Rebecca Houseman and Colin Kennedy as city manager finalists (gazettextra.com) — Newport residents should know that their city manager, Colin Kennedy, is a finalist for the top administrative job in Janesville, Wisconsin, even as he remains on paid leave amid reported tensions with Newport's council. Janesville officials will interview Kennedy and fellow finalist Rebecca Houseman again on August 26 before deciding who will lead their city.
