Paving on Extension, South Baptist Ends Today

Drivers on Spring and Thames Street can expect delays until this afternoon, as roadwork and paving continues downtown.

South Baptist Street and Extension Street are expected to be paved by this afternoon, a Department of Public Works official said.

Workers are currently paving South Baptist Street, which should be paved and open to traffic in the early afternoon, if not sooner, City Engineer Eric Earls said.

Extension Street is on track to be ready for traffic between late afternoon and early evening.
