"Return to Camelot" at Historic Newport Church is Back by Popular Demand

A special event at St. Mary's Church, where JFK's wedding took place in 1953, was a huge success last year. And it's back this October.

People just can’t get enough of all things John F. Kennedy, Jackie Kennedy and Camelot.

Consider the December “Return to Camelot” event hosted by St. Mary’s Church in Newport, which happens to be the same place where JFK and Jacqueline Bouvier wed in 1953.

The event, which included the showing of film from that day, photos, musical presentations and more, was heavily attended.

The turnout was so good and so enthusiastic that the church now has planned a revival of the popular “Return to Camelot” series through the month of October.

Helping to fuel the decision was “avid interest expressed by the cruise ship passengers that visit Newport in September and October,” according to a St. Mary’s news release.
