RI Weather: Multi-Day Nor'easter Starts Today
Parts of Rhode Island could see as much as four inches of rain over the next few days.

Fall's first nor'easter is taking aim at Southern New England. The multi-day storm is expected to hit Massachusetts the hardest, dumping as much as eight inches in the southeast part of the state and Cape Cod. Here in Rhode Island, expect strong wind and several inches of rain, especially along the coast.
The storm will build throughout the day on Wednesday, hitting its peak on Thursday and finally petering out on Friday. Expect steady rain over the next few days throughout Rhode Island. Power outages and coastal flooding are a possibility. While the Cape and islands could see as much as eight inches of rain, Rhode Island's rainfall totals are expected to cap out at four inches in the East Bay and other coastal areas.
In anticipation of the inclement weather, the Block Island Ferry canceled all high speed ferry service on Wednesday. The traditional ferry is still running as scheduled.
