A 15-year-old student at William S. Rogers High School is facing charges of felony assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a weapon on school grounds after allegedly brandishing a knife in an argument with an 18-year-old student on Monday.
The juvenile reportedly displayed the knife in the cafeteria during a verbal altercation after becoming upset about comments made about his girlfriend, police said. The victim was calling her derogatory names and is alleged to have been doing it for some time.
According to a police report, the victim walked away after the knife came out and a nearby dean was able to grab the suspect from behind and take the knife without incident.
