Take Charge of your Diabetes
VNS of Newport and Bristol Counties is holding a four week Diabetes Education Series May 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Visiting Nurse Services will hold a four week Diabetes Self Management Education Series May 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Portsmouth office for anyone with diabetes who would like more information on topics such as nutrition and meal planning, blood sugar monitoring, exercise and weight management, prevention of complications and medication management. Individuals are encourage to bring a support person. VNS accepts most insurances and a sliding fee scale is available.
The series is certified by the American Diabetes Association and the RI Department of Health. Our classes are taught by Certified Diabetes Outpatient Educators (CDOEs) and include a nurse, dietitian and pharmacist. For more information or to register please call 401 682 2100 ex 1642,
