"Tour de Jonquilles" Daffodil Bike Ride

Get up and close and personal with many of the 385,000 daffodils now planted throughout Newport on this daffy bike ride supporting the Daffodillion project! Join Bike Newport on a tour of the plantings, the gardens at the Hillside private estate, and end up at the Ballard Park “Bouquet Bar” and Flower Market where live music and nearly 20,000 daffodils will greet us.

Meet at Touro Park (Bellevue Ave. between Mill and Pelham) at 1:15pm, ride rolls out at 1:30. Length will be about five miles, with an option to continue riding around Ocean Drive after checking out the market. Bring a camera, bike lock, and wear yellow — lots of yellow! A special prize will be given to the daffiest outfit and free “Daffy Duck calls” will be handed out to the first 25 who arrive. As we spot the daffodils, we’ll all toot hello. Helmets are required on all Bike Newport rides.
