What Are Rhode Island's Top Baby Names?
These are the official, registered names from the Social Security Administration. Did your baby's name make the list?
The numbers are in, the letters are arranged and the official list of the country’s most popular baby names of 2014 is out.
The Social Security Administration released the 2014 results on Friday. Again in 2014, Noah was the most popular name for boys in the country, but there was a change at the top for girls -- Emma moved up from the No. 2 spot in 2013 to claim No. 1 in 2014.
In Rhode Island, parents didn’t always fall in line with the nation. Noah, for instance, came in as the No. 9 most popular name in Rhode Island, and Emma came in at no. 3 in the Ocean State.
