10k Runners take on the Jamestown Bridge

Saturday morning saw more than just cars crossing the Jamestown Bridge, as runners took to it for the Jamestown Bridge 10k.

Heavy rain, swirling winds and chilly morning temperatures couldn’t keep eager runners away on Saturday for the Jamestown Bridge 10k.

The sold out race had 1,000 registered participants ready to face the challenging course. Starting at the Park-and-Ride off on Route 1A, runners entered the onramp to Route 138 East, and then were faced with the steep incline of the Jamestown Bridge.

After making a loop in Jamestown, runners made their way back across the bridge to the finish line.

An Easter theme was reoccurring throughout the event, from runners wearing rabbit ears to bags of jelly beans that were passed out after crossing the finish line.
