The second annual Skate for Shriners will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014, from 7pm until 10pm. This is a family friendly event with music, food and two hours of ice time.
Their inaugural event was a success and raised a total of $775.00 in a similar one-hour event. This year the event has been expanded with a second hour of available skate time added to accommodate families who may not be able to attend the first hour. The event has an earnest goal of raising $2000.00 or more. All net-proceeds from the event will be donated directly to Shriners Hospital for Children of Springfield, Massachusetts.
