The statewide Top 20 rundown also shows how NK's earlier win over Cranston West shapes the Division I playoff picture.

For local workers and suppliers tied to Hexagon, the findings highlight growing demand for tools that better link design, production, and quality on the factory floor.

3. BAE Systems Awarded More Than $656 Million Across Six U.S. Defense Contracts (pulse2.com) — BAE Systems has landed six U.S. defense contracts worth up to $656 million, with a portion of one strategic systems support award slated for work in North Kingstown. While most activity will occur in larger defense hubs, the inclusion of North Kingstown ties the town to long-term projects in amphibious vehicles, naval ammunition, nuclear deterrence support, and advanced laser research.

4. BAE Systems nets $71m US Trident II D5 Strategic Systems contract (naval-technology.com) — A new $70.5 million BAE Systems contract for Trident II D5 support includes some work in North Kingstown, alongside major hubs like Washington, D.C., Kings Bay, and Bangor. While most activity is elsewhere, it still signals ongoing high-tech defense work and potential indirect economic benefits tied to the Navy's strategic weapons programs.
