Samuelson, Imprint and Playback brings together the work of seven artists who participated in the Movement Lab Fellowship at Rhode Island School of Design, from 2023-2026. Artists include Azadeh Ahmadi, Patrick Buhr, Hunter Whitaker-Morrow, Kameron Neal, L.A. Samuelson, Maxime Cavajani, and Melisa Achoko-Allela.
About the RISD Movement Lab Fellowship
The RISD Movement Lab Fellowship supports post-graduate artists and scholars pursuing independent creative research into movement across disciplines. Based in the Rhode Island School of Design’s Movement Lab, fellows explore movement through practices including animation, film, performance, dance, immersive media, robotics, kinetic sculpture, and emerging technologies. Their research examines how movement shapes perception, communication, social interaction, and embodied experience, expanding how movement can be understood and translated through contemporary artistic practice.
