Floralism

The Wickford Art Association is pleased to present Floralism, a juried exhibition celebrating artistic interpretations of flowers, plants, and the natural world. Featuring a diverse selection of works chosen by juror Jenny Brown, the exhibition explores the many ways artists find inspiration in the color, form, symbolism, and beauty of botanical subjects.
The public is invited to attend the opening reception on September 11 from 5:00–7:00 PM. Guests will have the opportunity to view the exhibition, celebrate the participating artists, and experience the wide range of creative perspectives represented in Floralism.
Through a variety of artistic styles and mediums, Floralism
highlights the enduring connection between art and nature. From traditional floral compositions to contemporary and imaginative interpretations, the exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to experience the familiar beauty of flowers through new and unexpected perspectives.
Exhibition Dates: September 11–October 11 
Opening Reception: September 11, 5:00–7:00 PM

Cold Spring Community Center

The RI Dahlia Society will host their Annual Dahlia Show from 3-7 PM at the Cold Spring Community Center in North Kingstown. There will be hundreds of beautiful blooms on display along with several themed arrangements. Vases of Dahlias will be available for purchase while supplies last. There will also be a Photo Contest. Members will be on hand to answer any questions. Open to the Public. Admissions is free and visit the website for more info.

Vases of Dahlias will be available for purchase while supplies last. Members will be on hand to answer any questions. A Photo Contest will also be on the walls. Bring the family and friends to the open mic Wednesday Night Live at the Ganny at the Narragansett Café in Jamestown on Wednesday, September 16 from 7 to 9:15 pm. Enjoy live music, storytelling, standup comedy, poetry, dramatic readings, and anything else creative in a welcoming and comfortable space. The emcee’s are part of the show—standup comedy and stories.
The event is free and open to the public. The food is great and so are the drinks. Non-alcoholic beverages are available.
Each performer has the stage from five to seven minutes. Signup is at 6:30. Performers can preregister at&nbsp;WedsLiveGanny@gmail.com.
