Bikini-Clad Man Charged With Disorderly Conduct, Willful Trespass
The following information was supplied by the North Kingstown Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Daniel Christopher Downs, 54, of 6200 Post Rd., Unit 1A in North Kingstown was arrested April 14 at 10:40 a.m. on charges of willful trespassing and disorderly conduct.
Downs allegedly began walking into neighbors’ yards around 8:30 a.m. He was allegedly screaming, cursing, flipping people off and throwing rocks at cars. According to two neighbors, he went into their yard and began yelling at them for not working. (One of the neighbors caught Downs on video during the incident.) When one neighbor said they were calling the police, Downs allegedly responded by saying that his cat knew more than the police.
Downs began swearing at police and smelled of alcohol when officers arrived to arrest him, according to reports. At one point during the arrest, an officer asked Downs if he was okay, to which he allegedly responded, “Yes, your wrongness.”

At headquarters, Downs allegedly took off his shirt in his cellblock and removed a bikini top from his pants and tied it to the bars. Downs then took off his pants and socks, revealing that he was wearing a fluorescent bikini bottom that was a girls size 10. He allegedly told police that he was wearing the bikini because he had dirtied his other pair and this pair fit him.
During a breath test, Downs’ blood alcohol content measured at .202. In his cell, he allegedly began yelling at the light in his cell, calling it a liar and swearing at it. Officers could hear Downs talking to himself and laughing out loud. At one point, he allegedly began growling and attempted to hit his head against the wall, prompting police to bring him to the hospital for treatment and mental evaluation.
