North Kingstown, RI – June 10, 2014: The Lafayette Mill complex and The Hive RI are proud to welcome life time North Kingstown resident and seamstress Judith Crossman to our community.
Judith Crossman has a passion for sewing - she has been sewing all her life and offers a variety of services including: window treatments, window seats, porch furniture, alternations, repurposing and repairs. Judith has turned her passion for sewing into her livelihood. She founded Sew Fine in 1990, where she creates original designs and custom work with passion. She utilizes multiple sewing machines in her workroom, including an industrial machine for heavy work. Judith believes in paying great attention to detail and customer service is her top priority.
One of Judith’s specialties (and passions) is repurposing! She takes old jeans, tablecloths, handkerchiefs and turns them into something new again. As an example, instead of throwing away or storing your grandmother’s old tablecloth, Judith will repurpose it and turn it into a skirt.

Judith will be at the Wickford’s Farmer’s Market on Thursday, June 19th, where she will be selling her own designed clothing accessories, skirts and dresses made from vintage tablecloths, as well as clutter catchers, zip and tote bags. Judith will also bring her portable, turn of the century household sewing machine, where she will do a brief demonstration of her craft (bring your kids & your old material!).

Based in the historic Lafayette Mill complex in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, The Hive RI coworking space provides inexpensive working space, conference and meeting areas and professional amenities such as copy machines, printers as well as high speed internet.
