As part of the University of Rhode Island's Artist Series, John Monllos will give a concert featuring jazz tunes entitled "A Slice of Jazz Guitar History with John Monllos" on October 26 at 7:30 pm at URI's Fine Arts Building, 105 Upper College Road on URI's Kingston campus. This concert will feature the music of select jazz guitarists and a some surprises. Grammy nominated pianist Joe Parillo performs with Monllos and a rhythm section. Featured styles include swing, bossa nova style of Brazil, Latin Jazz and modern jazz of today.
Tickets are $10 for the general public and $5 for students.
