Gamba Seeking Recount in Primary Against Ehrhardt

Republican contender Sharon Gamba is requesting a recount of last week's primary race against Rep. Laurence Ehrhardt.

Republican hopeful for House District 32 Sharon Gamba is among several General Assembly candidates seeking a recount of last week's primary race. The state Board of Elections will meet at 9 a.m. Monday morning to start the recounts.

Gamba lost to incumbent Ehrhardt in last week's race by a mere 16 votes. For Ehrhardt, the margin was closer than expected.

"I was surprised by how close the vote was," said Ehrhardt. "But I'm confident that the recount will not affect the outcome of the race."
