Hawks Spike Skippers In Three Games
The Skippers dug well and had some incredible spikes of their own, but Hendricken overpowered NK for a 3-0 win.
WARWICK – The undefeated Bishiop Hendricken Hawks took it to the Skippers on Tuesday night at Hendricken, soaring away with a 3-0 win.
The first game saw Hendricken jump out to an early 12-4 lead. NK came back on the strength of some impressive digs and a few powerful spikes, most notably from #3 junior Brent Bauerle. It wasn't enough for the Skippers as the Hawks took game one 25-15.
Game two was more of the same. The Skippers had a little momentum going, but Hendricken's #20 co-captain Ted Seufert practically destroyed the ball on a spike that slammed off the gym floor and ascended all the way up to the rafters. It all but deflated the Skippers chances in the second game and Hendricken won game two 25-17.
