About The Artist
Carol Scavotto is a figurative artist, who lives and works in Rhode Island. The main theme of her art is relationships and human instinct. There is a particular sense of humor in her work, paired with titles that invite the viewer to consider the beauty of humanity.

An interest in Chinese calligraphy and dance has influenced the fluid gestural lines in her work. Working with
collage has allowed her to push the boundaries of her work. These works develop slowly in a process of construction and deconstruction, images and objects intertwine as the work takes on an identity.
Scavotto received her BFA from University of Massachusetts Amherst. In June 2014 she took part in Art Mora’s
residency program. She has shown her art at Fountain Art Fair, Clio Art Fair, and Fridge Art Fair, establishing a
presence in New York. Internationally Carol’s is work represented in Korea with Art Mora with her debut at Art
Busan Carol work was also shown with Dacia Gallery NY International Art Project.
