Lafayette Band Free Summer Concert Series Begins June 22
The schedule includes seven outdoor performances, including the Independence Day show with fireworks on July 3

The Lafayette Band of North Kingstown will open its 2022 Summer Concert Series on Wed., June 22, with a performance at the North Kingstown Free Library. The series will consist of seven free outdoor concerts, including the band's traditional Independence Day show with fireworks--scheduled this year for July 3--and a performance with the North Kingstown Community Chorus.

The Lafayette Band is a nonprofit community concert band with a mission to strengthen North Kingstown and surrounding communities through music. Founded 140 years ago, it is one of the oldest bands in Rhode Island. Though based in North Kingstown, the band’s members reside in many communities in Southeast New England.
