Man Pleads Guilty to Conspiring to Ship Cocaine to RI

A California man, linked to a Mexican drug cartel, pleads guilty to consipring to ship cocaine to Rhode Island.

One of three men arrested last year in one of the admitted to conspiring to ship cocaine from the West Coast to the Ocean State last week,

Rodrigo Armando Saucedo, 32, of California pleaded guilty to conspiring (with two other men) to ship cocaine via tractor-trailer from the West Coast to Rhode Island. He admitted to one count each of conspiracy to possess five or more kilograms of cocaine. He faces up to life in prison and $10 million in fines for each count. Authorities have linked the men to a Mexican drug cartel.

In January 2011, . Aside from Saucedo, police also arrested Andrew Rios and Adilson Reyes with drug trafficking charges.
