Narragansett Man Dies After Driving Into Wall

A Narragansett man is dead and his passenger injured after his car struck the wall of a building in West Davisville Sunday afternoon.

Gregory Getchell, 40, of Narragansett was pronounced dead at Kent County Hospital after succumbing to his injuries following the accident. His passenger, Terrence Slattery of Coventry, was brought to the hospital's intensive care unit.

North Kingstown police and fire responded to 338 Compass Cir. in Quonset around 2:54 p.m. The North Kingstown Police Department's Accident Reconstructionists are investigating the cause of the accident.
