NY Man Charged With DUI
David Levesque, 40, of 11 Bluebird Lane in Amherst, NY, was arrested July 11 at 2:04 a.m. on charges of drunken driving.
Police pulled Levesque over after allegedly seeing him speed on Post Road and swerve in and out of lanes. When officers asked Levesque where he had been coming from, he reportedly said “Buffalo” and that he had believed he had been driving for about 30 minutes. (Levesque allegedly later told officers he was coming from a new restaurant — Blu in East Greenwich.)

According to reports, Levesque told officers he had two drinks that night, then later said he had “three glasses of wine.” After allegedly failing his field sobriety test, Levesque’s blood alcohol content reportedly measured at .142 in a preliminary breath test, according to police. At headquarters, his blood alcohol content allegedly measured at .162 and .170. The legal limit in Rhode Island in .08.
He is scheduled for arraignment in Third District Court on July 31.

Alleged Illegal Alien Faces Charges in NK
Desiderio Dubon Mendez, 27, of 77 Union Ave., Apt. 3 in Providence, was arrested July 13 at 12:56 a.m. on charges of driving without a license.
Police pulled Mendez over after allegedly seeing him speed on Quaker Lane. According to reports, Mendez told officers he didn’t have a license but was driving his friends — who were reportely intoxicated — home. According to police, Mendez told officers that he and his two passengers had entered the country illegally through Arizona. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was notified. One of the men is under removal proceedings with an upcoming court date in 2013.
Mendez is scheduled for arraignment in Third District Court on July 31.
Honda Stolen From Walmart Parking Lot
According to police, a 1995 Honda Civic was stolen from a parking outside of on July 13. The owner of the vehicle told officers he was in Walmart for about 40 minutes and returned outside to find his vehicle missing. Surveillance cameras show two men enter the vehicle and drive away in it.
Police are looking for two Hispanic men in their 20s. One man is described as heavy set while the other has a medium build.

Jonna Miguel, 19, of 111 Exeter Road in North Kingstown, was arrested July 11 at 6:12 p.m. on charges of shoplifting from Kohl’s. Miguel allegedly tried to shoplift a pair of Itsy Bitsy silver earrings (worth $20) by removing its packaging and hiding it in her hand.
Margaret Ann Madoian, 55, of 27 Linden Court in North Kingstown, was arrested July 10 at 4 p.m. on charges of driving with suspended license. She is scheduled for arraignment in Third District Court on July 31.
Julie Christina Brosco, 35, of 142 John St. in East Providence was arrested July 11 at 7:30 p.m. following two bench warrants for her arrest.
