Man Allegedly Stole Perfume From Kohl's
Kent Armand Ise, 61, of 871 Fletcher Rd. in North Kingstown was arrested Nov. 3 at 8:30 p.m. on charges of shoplifting.
An employee at Kohl’s allegedly saw Ise put two boxes of perfume in his sweatshirt pocket and attempt to leave the store. When the employee confronted him, Ise allegedly gave him the perfume and stated that Kohl’s couldn’t call the police because he returned the merchandise. According to reports, Ise took an “aggressive stance” toward the employee during the confrontation before driving away.

Police were able to track down Ise based on the description of his car provided by the employee.

Kenneth Arthur Browne, 46, of 56 Halsey Street, 1st floor in Newport was arrested Nov. 7 at 11:16 a.m. on charges of making crank or obscene phone calls.
Browne allegedly had a disagreement with a North Kingstown man over work he had done on the man’s boat. According to reports, the man claimed that Browne was supposed to varnish his boat but did not complete the work and thus refused to pay him in full.
Browne had allegedly began calling the man and sending him harassing messages and voicemails. When police told him he would be facing charges if he continued to contact the man, Browne allegedly told them he didn’t care and would be arrested if need be.
Later that day, the man returned to the police station and showed police 15 text messages that Browne sent him after police had warned him to cease contact. In one of the voicemails he left, Browne allegedly told the man, “I’m going find you and crush you! It may be a day, week or year!” The North Kingstown Police Department issued a warrant for Browne’s arrest and he was later picked up by Newport police. In total, Browne allegedly made more than 100 calls to the man, 25 voicemails and 54 text messages in a span of three days.
NK Man Charged After Driving Through Red Light
Michael Scott Szewczyk, 43, of 6101 Post Rd., Apt. 57 in North Kingstown was arrested Nov. 8 at 4:55 p.m. on charges of driving with a suspended license and following a bench warrant for his arrest.
Police pulled Szewczyk over after he drove through a red light past an officer, crossing into the oncoming lane to do so. According to reports, Szewczyk told the officer that he suddenly lost use of his brakes and had to drive through the red light. The officer did note that his low brake fluid indicator was lit on his dashboard. During checks, the officer discovered Szewczyk had a suspended license and was wanted on a bench warrant.

Justin Troy Kilgore, 18, of 172 Beach St. in North Kingstown was arrested Nov. 4 at 8:15 p.m.
Thomas Francis Alexander, 61, of 35 Dennison Drive in Narragansett was arrested Nov. 2 at 8:30 a.m. on charges of driving with a suspended license.
