NK Police Log: Alleged Road Rage Lands Teen in Handcuffs

Alleged Case of Road Rage Leads to Arrest

Victoria Lee Loring, 19, of 70 Broadway, Apt. 21 in North Attleboro was arrested June 29 at 4:20 p.m. on charges of disorderly conduct after an apparent case of road rage.

The incident began after traffic was backed up on Route 1 near the Paul Masse dealership where the South Kingstown Fire Department was working on a structure fire. According to reports, two men in a BMW tried to pass Loring and her driver (driving a Volkswagen) by using the breakdown lane. Upon seeing this, Loring’s driver allegedly moved to block their advance. The BMW, however, was able to get around the Volkswagen – allegedly displaying their middle fingers to Loring and her driver.

According to reports, Loring got out of the car and sat on the hood of the BMW until her car could move around them. During the incident, Loring injured her ankle. She was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct for intentionally obstructing a highway. During her transport to headquarters, Loring allegedly told police she had made a “poor choice.”

Rebecca Lee Desrosiers, 24, of 17 Pierce Rd. in North Kingstown was arrested June 29 at 12:11 p.m. on charges of shoplifting from .

According to reports, Desrosiers hid three pairs of shorts in her purse while in the fitting room and attempted to leave the store without paying. She is scheduled to appear in Third District Court on July 24.

Couple Dine-and-Ditches at Duffy’s

Police were unable to locate a couple that allegedly evaded their food bill at on June 29. According to reports, the waitress served the couple and then presented a bill for $48.50. After the couple left, the waitress reportedly realized the two only left her $32.  According to police, the couple left on foot from the restaurant.

Other Arrests...

William John Bailey, 54, of 141 Meadowland Drive in North Kingstown was arrested July 2 at 12:14 p.m. on charges of driving with a suspended license. According to police records, Bailey’s license had been suspended since May 2010 after his drunken driving arrest.
