Man With Multiple Guns Allegedly Assaults, Threatens Roommate
Christopher Brian Renaud, 52, of 114 Oakdale Rd. in North Kingstown was arrested July 7 at 2:28 a.m. on charges of domestic assault, domestic disorderly conduct and a felony charge of possession of narcotics.
Renaud allegedly struck one of her female roommates, who he also previously date, across the face during an argument over money. According to reports, Renaud was agitated after the two went out for a few beers and started yelling at the roommate, at one point saying, ”You ruined my life, you [expletive].”

The victim told police she was “in fear for her life” because Renaud owned three guns, which he stored under his bed. According to the victim, when Renaud is intoxicated he often acts in a “concerning manner” and “pulls out his shotgun.” The week prior, Renaud was under the influence and “racking the chamber” while stating “die, [expletive], die,” according to the victim. According to another roommate, Renaud told the victim three months prior, “Before I become homeless, I will kill you and spend the rest of my life in prison.”
Police placed Renaud under arrest and seized his weapons, finding an unmarked prescription bottle (containing Percocet) in his room. Renaud allegedly told police he did not know where the medication came from and that it was not prescribed to him.

NK Woman Charged With Shoplifting From Stop & Shop
Victoria Ida Viens, 55, of 6101 Post Rd., Apt. 41A in North Kingstown was arrested July 7 at 1:15 p.m. on charges of shoplifting from .
According to store employees, Viens was seen placing groceries into a reusable bag and try to leave the store without paying. According to reports, employees suspected that Viens has shoplifted in the past. Viens allegedly tried to steal $94.53 worth of groceries – including toilet paper, mayonnaise, strawberries and other items.
NK Man Charged With DUI
Newtown Seve Sherman, 44, of 848 Stony Ln., Apt. B in North Kingstown was arrested July 7 at 8:48 p.m. on charges of drunken driving and refusing to submit to a chemical test.
Police pulled Sherman over on Stony Lane after allegedly seeing him drift over the double yellow line. According to reports, Sherman immediately lit a cigarette after giving the officer his name. He also allegedly admitted to drinking three cans of beer prior to driving. During a preliminary breath test, Sherman’s blood alcohol reportedly measured at .186 – more than twice the legal limit.
He is scheduled for arraignment in Third District Court on Aug. 31.
