NK Police Log: Eggings, Kitchen Fire & Pot Possession

Multiple Cars, Mailboxes Egged

Several cars and mailboxes in North Kingstown were egged overnight from Dec. 30 to Dec. 31. According to reports, the eggings happened on Delano Drive, Abby Lane, Thelma Irene Drive, Pendar Road and Cole Drive. A request for extra overnight patrols, particularly on the aforementioned streets, has been issued.

Driver, Passenger Arrested on Pot Possession 

Anthony Edward Leombruno, 20, of 2 Cider Mill Rd. in Framingham, MA and Brianna Marie Reagan, 20, of 216 Sconticut Neck Rd. in Fairhaven, MA was arrested Jan. 3 at 9:32 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana.

Police pulled Leombruno over after the car he was a passenger in allegedly drove through a red light. During the traffic stop. Police allegedly smelled burnt marijuana inside the car. According to reports, the driver told police there a “bowl” in the car ut but no marijuana. After searching the car, officers found a glass pipe with marijuana residue inside, a metal grinder (commonly used to grind marijuana) in the glove compartment and piece of aluminum foil with marijuana inside.

In the truck, police allegedly found a 24-pack of Bud Light as well as another grinder, pipe and marijuana inside Reagan’s purse. Also in the truck, officers found another pipe that no one in the car admitted was theirs. The driver – James Patrick Brady, 19, of Framingham, MA – was issued a court summons for possession of alcohol by a minor. 

Family Inadvertently Starts Kitchen Fire During Move

A woman’s family, helping her move from one apartment to another, inadvertently started a fire in her new apartment on Dayton Court. On an 5 around 10:30 a.m., the woman’s family members were moving items around in the kitchen when they put a cardboard box on top of the stove. At some point, one of the stove’s knobs turned one of the burners on to high, igniting the cardboard box. There were no injuries, though several items (including the cabinets and refrigerator) were damaged.
