NK Police Log: Fight Over Xbox Leads to Arrest
The following information was supplied by the North Kingstown Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

NK Man Charged With Violating No-Contact Order
Jonathan Edward Dumsar, 18, of 552 Devils Foot Rd., Apt. B307 in North Kingstown was arrested Aug. 21 at 9 a.m. on charges of violating a no-contact order.
During a routine follow-up, a North Kingstown officer saw Dumsar leaving the residence of a woman who was protected by a no-contact order against him. (According to police logs earlier this month, Dumsar had allegedly assaulted the woman on Aug. 15.) According to reports, when the woman saw the police cruiser, she began yelling at Dumsar to “go back the other way.” Police arrested Dumsar and brought him to Third District Court for arraignment.

On Aug. 4, Soto allegedly assaulted the mother of his children while he was trying to leave her residence. According to reports, Soto told the woman he was moving out and began packing up his stuff – including an Xbox console which the woman alleged the two had purchased together. When the woman objected to him taking the console, he reportedly told her “I don’t care” and began to pack the Xbox and games away. According to police, the woman then began to call police – at which time Soto allegedly took away her phone and threw it on the ground. (The woman’s nine-year-old daughter allegedly phoned police after witnessing the incident.)
According to reports, Soto also threw the woman’s purse, Xbox games and poker chips around the dining and living room area. According to the victim, he also grabbed and twisted her breast before shoving her. Soto then allegedly left the area with his father, who was picking him up from the home. Weeks later, Brown University Police took Soto into custody after the NK police released a warrant for his arrest.
