NK Police Log: 'Home Girl Rosie' Called in During Alleged Domestic Assault

Intoxicated Man Spooks Horse, Cited for Public Drunkenness

Police received a call of an intoxicated man at on March 30 after he allegedly spooked a horse, causing its female rider to be thrown from the animal.

According to reports, three women were riding horseback along the path when they encountered the 49-year-old man, who was passed out across the path. The man allegedly raised his hand up to show a cell phone and yelled, “Look at my new cell phone.” One of the horses allegedly became spooked by the man waving his cell phone around and took off, throwing its rider, a 20-year-old North Kingstown woman. According to reports, the woman riding the horse hit her head on a tree and suffered multiple cuts on her forearm. The horse also sustained a nose injury during the incident.

Police found the man at a friend’s house on Oak Hill Road, where he allegedly admitted to officers that he had encountered the women at Ryan Park and had indeed tried to show them his new cell phone. He was cited for public drunkenness.

Sharhonda Shante White, 22, of Hillside Ave. in Bristol, CT, was arrested March 30 at 11:47 a.m. on charges of domestic assault, domestic vandalism and domestic disorderly conduct.

White allegedly assaulted a 30-year-old woman after the two argued about their relationship. According to the victim, White grabbed the woman’s “Hot N Juicy” sign off the wall and threw it at her, but missed. White then allegedly punched the victim and a closet door, and threw a candle at the victim. The victim told police she then went to the apartment downstairs to get her “home girl Rosie,” who helped break up the fight. During the altercation, White also allegedly pulled out two dreadlocks from the victim’s hair and punched a flat screen TV on the way out of the apartment.

SK Man Charged in Domestic Assault

Seth Douglas Harris, 35, of 394 Walmsley Lane in South Kingstown, was arrested March 30 at 8 p.m. on charges of domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct for a fight that occurred while he was driving in North Kingstown.

According to his victim, Harris was angry about an issue with two of his friends and began to yell at the woman and slap her across the face. Attempting to defend herself, the woman allegedly began to kick Harris and inadvertently kicked the turn signal and broke it off, resulting in a cut do Harris’ finger.

Once at the residence in South Kingstown, Harris allegedly struck the woman again and said, “It hurts, don’t it?” According to police, the woman had marks on her cheeks and side of her head consistent with being struck with a fist or palm.

According to Harris’ account of the incident, the woman assaulted him while they were driving – though he could not pinpoint where they were when the assault occurred because he had been drinking.

He is scheduled for arraignment in Third District Court on April 17.

Practical Joke Results in Alleged Assault

Katherine Francis Rosener, 18, of 795 Tower Hill Road. Apt. 4 in North Kingstown was arrested March 31 at 2:45 a.m. on charges of domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

According to reports, Rosener was attempting to prank her boyfriend by telling him she had been arrested. When Rosener allegedly asked a family member to play along, the woman refused and texted the boyfriend to tell him that Rosener was lying. The victim told officers that Rosener became angry and began to yell at her, throwing items around her bedroom. According to police, Rosener shoved the woman into the kitchen table and chairs during the altercation – causing the woman’s right shin to become inflamed and bleed.

According to Rosener’s side of the story, the family member had agreed to play along with the prank but began calling the boyfriend a “loser” over the phone. Rosener allegedly told officers that she did not assault the woman and that the injuries the victim sustained were old and she had “re-picked them to make them bleed.”

She is scheduled to appear in Third District court for arraignment on April 17.
