The following information was supplied by the North Kingstown Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Man Finds Stranger Sleeping in His Car
Elliot Scott Jackson, 18, of 35 Heritage Road, was arrested March 18 at 10:30 a.m. on charges of tampering with a vehicle.
A Chadsey Road resident called police after reportedly finding Jackson asleep in the man’s car. According to police, the car’s owner did not know Jackson and did not give him permission to enter the car. When police arrived, they found Jackson asleep in the passenger seat, reportedly with his pants around his knees. (His boxer shorts, however, were still on.)

Paul Joseph Patriquin, 22, of 146 Penguin Ave. in Warwick, was arrested March 18 at 5:50 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana and driving in possession of a controlled substance.
Police pulled Patriquin’s blue Jetta over after a check showed the plates were registered to a black Mazda. According to reports, Patriquin told the officer he had just bought the car and hadn’t completed the registration transfer. When asked to provide a proof of purchase, Patriquin allegedly gave the officer a piece of scrap paper that was barely legible and appeared to be “very old” and contained no dates on it.
The officer also allegedly saw a marijuana smoking pipe on the center console in plain view. According to reports, both Patriquin and his passenger deined any knowledge of it. After a pat down, Patriquin allegedly told the officer there was a plastic baggie with marijuana in the ash tray.
He is scheduled to appear in Third District Court on April 3.
DUI Suspect Allegedly Tells Police "You Got Me"
Robert Joseph Barcellos, 32, of 77 Riptide Street in Jamestown, was arrested March 20 at 12:19 a.m. on charges of drunken driving and refusing to submit to a chemical test — his second offense for both charges.
North Kingstown police pulled Barcellos over after receiving a bulletin regarding an erratic driver on Route 4 near Oak Hill Road. According to the officer, Barcellos’ eyes were “severely bloodshot” when he told the officer, “You got me.” Barcellos also allegedly told the officer that he drank several Budweisers about two hours before driving. According to reports, he also said he was driving his client’s car, which he knew to be expired.
After reportedly dropping his driver’s license, Barcellos asked the officer not to arrest him. During his field sobriety test, which he allegedly failed, Barcellos repeatedly asked the officer not to arrest him, according to reports.
At the North Kingstown Police Department, Barcellos refused to take a Breathalyzer test. When police asked Barcellos where he was that night during questioning, Barcellos allegedly told them, “I was in Providence. Wait, I don’t want to talk to you. You guys are going to [expletive] me.”
Barcellos was convicted of drunken driving in June 2007, making this his second offense.
