Later that night, officers saw school administrators near the front entrance of the dance asking Gomes to leave the premises. When officer confronted Gomes, he allegedly told them he was not Gomes and was a student from the class of 2012 and would get his student ID from his car. In the parking lot, Gomes attempted to get into a car that was not his and told officers he lived on Woodbine Road, motioning behind him to an area behind the school where there are no roads.
When police told Gomes he was under arrest, Gomes allegedly pushed away from officers and fled from the parking lot. While police dealt with Gomes’ friend, Gomes allegedly reappeared from the woods and was in the parking lot. He was then placed under arrest.
