NK Police Log: Man Allegedly Found With Marijuana, Percocet
The following arrest information was supplied by the North Kingstown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
NK Man Allegedly Found With Marijuana, Crushed Percocet
Kurt Lawrence Feinberg, 20, of 135 Grant Drive, was arrested May 30 at 11:48 p.m. on felony and misdemeanor charges of possession.
Police stopped Feinberg after seeing him walking down Old Baptist Road, pulling a duffel bag on wheels behind him. After Feinberg asked the officer to give him a ride home, the officer obliged but told him he’d have to ask him a few questions first. During their conversation, Feinberg told the officer he only had clothes in the bag. When the officer searched through the bag, he found a safe beneath the clothing, which Feinberg allegedly said contained his coin collection.

When Feinberg opened the safe, police allegedly found two complete coin proof sets, six half dollar coins and three Morgan silver dollars along with a World War II Nazi medal, a red Nazi Reich stamp and an empty pack of cigarettes with rolling papers inside. When the officer asked what the paper was for, Feinberg allegedly said “for this,” and proceeded to pull out a plastic bag containing marijuana from his pocket. According to Feinberg, he has a medicinal marijuana license due to chronic pain. (Feinberg was unable to produce the license because he had recently lost his wallet.)
While speaking with Feinberg, the officer allegedly found several small individual bags containing an off-white powdery substance. According to reports, Feinberg became “extremely emotional” and told officers the substance was crushed Percocet, which he took to combat his chronic pain. He reportedly told the officer he has been using crushed Percocet as a supplement to the medical marijuana for the past “five to six months.”
