NK Police Log: Providence Woman Broke Into Mother's Trailer Multiple Times

The following information was supplied by the North Kingstown Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Saunderstown Woman Charged With Domestic Assault

Erin Lee Netro, 30, of 21 Albatross Drive in Saunderstown was arrested Aug. 30 at 1:30 p.m. on charges domestic assault, domestic refusal to relinquish a phone and domestic disorderly conduct.

Netro’s victim had reportedly tried to stop her from driving their son to the playground, due to the fact Netro’s license was suspended. When the man saw Netro began backing down the driveway, he allegedly went outside and threatened to call the police. According to report, Netro pulled back into the driveway, exited her car and grabbed the man’s arm and took the phone from him. When the man tried to grab the keys from Netro, she allegedly began pulling his hair. (Police noticed that the man’s hair was “severely mussed” and he was sporting several scratches on his arm.) When police spoke to her son, the child allegedly told officers, “Mommy was bad today.”

A neighbor allegedly saw Hawkins climb through the window of her mother’s trailer and called police. Hawkins allegedly told officers she was there to visit her mother, but police noted that her statements were “inconsistent” regarding her relationship with her mother and why she was at the residence. Hawkins mother told police that her daughter did not have permission to enter the residence.

According to reports, this might not have been the first time Hawkins broke into the trailer: in July, her mother suspected her daughter had stolen a Toshiba laptop from her living room.   In her defendant’s statement, Hawkins allegedly admitted to breaking into her mother’s home three times – stealing jewelry, a check and the laptop.
