NK Teen Smashes TV, Throws A/C At Car on Moving Day

Katherine Francis Rosener, 18, of 795 Tower Hill Rd., Apt. 4 in North Kingstown was arrested July 15 at 2:28 p.m. on charges of domestic assault, domestic disorderly conduct and domestic vandalism.

Rosener allegedly assaulted a man as he was moving out of her apartment. According to the victim, Rosener became angry when he told her he was moving to Maine for a few weeks.

According to reports, Rosener smashed the man’s television and kicked him in the back as he walked down the stairs with an air conditioner, which injured the man’s wrist. Rosener allegedly threatened to slice his tires and smash his car windows. When the man told her he would call police if she did so, Rosener allegedly said “I don’t care” and proceeded to hit his car with a metal folding chair – damaging the vehicle. As he left the driveway, Rosener allegedly threw the air conditioner at the rear of the car.

When police arrived at Rosener’s home, they found the folding chair near the front porch and the broken television near the trash. According to reports, Rosener became defensive and claimed that the victim had started the argument because she refused to go to Maine with him.

Warwick Woman Hit With Felony Possession Charges

Sandra L. Alba, 39, of 46 Milton Rd. in Warwick was arrested July 16 at 2:27 p.m. on charges of driving on a suspended license, driving in possession of a controlled substance and a felony charge of possession of marijuana.

Police pulled Alba over after noticing that her car’s hood was not secured and was moving around in the wind. According to reports, Alba told police she did not have a license or registration and insurance for the car. Officers called for a tow truck after finding that her license was suspended.

At the police department, Alba allegedly told officers she had a plastic bag with marijuana inside her purse. Also in her purse, officers allegedly found a scale, plastic baggies, some smoked marijuana cigarettes, a grinder, rolling paper and a bag containing marijuana. This is Alba’s second possession of marijuana charge – a felony.

She is scheduled for arraignment in Third District Court on Aug. 7.

Teen Charged With Possession of Alcohol

Gordon Lucaj, 19, of 701 Boston Neck Rd. in North Kingstown was issued summons on July 17 at 1:40 a.m. on charges of possession of a beverage by an underaged person.

Police pulled Lucaj over on Post Road as he was driving with four friends (all under 21 years old) to a party on Potter Road, according to reports. Police allegedly smelled an odor of alcohol coming from the car. According to reports, police found a marijuana smoking bowl in Lucaj’s pocket and four cans of Rolling Rock beer in his car – two of which were open. All passengers denied ownership of the alcohol.

He is scheduled to appear in Third District Court on Aug. 7.

Other Arrests...

Thomas B. Karneeb, 45, of 175 Federal Way in Johnston was arrested July 13 at 2:45 p.m. on charges of writing fraudulent $321 check to in Wickford in March. Smithfield police arrested Karneeb on July 13 following the issue of a warrant for his arrest.

Adam Michael Lopez, 23 of Saratoga Rd. in North Kingstown was arrested July 14 at 9:41 p.m. following a warrant for his arrest. He is scheduled for arraignment in Third District Court on July 25.

Lauren Kelly Canfield, 23, of 9 Eisenhower St., Apt. 5 in Coventry was arrested July 15 at 10:46 a.m. on charges of driving with a suspended license. She is scheduled for arraignment in Third District Court on July 31.

Roland H. Carlow, 50 of 21 Oak Tree Dr. in North Kingstown was arrested July 16 at 9:35 a.m. on charges of driving with a suspended license.

Peter Bernard Kurczy, 46, of 14 Lea Drive in North Kingstown was arrested July 16 at 4 p.m. following a bench warrant for his arrest.

Carlton Rotondo, 21, of 311 Olney Arnold Rd. in Cranston was arrested July 16 at 9:05 p.m. on charges of driving with a suspended license.
