Woman Allegedly Slams Head Against Wall After Arrest

Lisa Marie Tanner, 45, of 158 Sayles Ave., Apt. 4 in Woonsocket, was arrested April 10 at 9:17 p.m. on charges of disorderly conduct.

Tanner’s ex-husband called police after she allegedly become intoxicated at his house while visiting their son. When police arrived, Tanner reportedly began to yell and curse at her ex-husband. According to reports, three small bottles of wine fell out of her purse during questioning.

Following repeated attempts to calm her down, officers placed her under arrest for disorderly conduct after she allegedly continued to yell at them while clenching her fists. According to police, her ex-husband did not want to issue a no-trespass order against her, telling officers, “Tomorrow is another day.”

While at the North Kingstown Police Department, Tanner allegedly failed to follow officers’ instructions multiple times. According to reports, after making several confidential phone calls, Tanner slammed down the phone, hit her fists against the wall and slammed her head against the wall several times. Once in her cell, police allegedly saw Tanner (via video monitor) slam her head against the cell door repeatedly.

Tanner was held as a probation violator and was transported to court the following morning. At headquarters, Tanner’s blood alcohol level allegedly tested at .16 percent.

NK Man Charged With Pot Possession

Jeffrey Cooke, 51, of 21 Clover Court, was arrested April 10 at 9:32 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana.

Police pulled Cooke over for speeding on Boston Neck Road and allegedly smelled the odor of marijuana coming from his truck. When police asked him about the odor, Cooke allegedly told the officer he had smoked it all and there was none left.

The officer searched his car, allegedly finding a marijuana roach, a small black plate with marijuana on it and a plastic bag with marijuana inside.

SK Man Hit With Two No-Contact Violations

Seth Douglas Harris, 35, of 394 Walmsley Lane in South Kingstown, was arrested April 11 at 5:29 a.m. on two counts of violating a no contact order.

Police initially pulled Harris over on Route 1 for speeding after allegedly clocking him at 75 mph in a 50-mph zone. While performing identification checks, the officer found that Harris’ passenger had no-contact orders against him — one from North Kingstown and another from South Kingstown.

Teens Cyberbullying Over Alleged Nude Pics

Three 14-year-old girls from Davisville Middle School were suspended last week after allegedly bullying another classmate. According to reports, two of the girls harassed another student on Twitter, saying “I’d beat you up, but that might be considered animal abuse,” and using profanity. According to reports, one of the tweeting bullies was also present when another student harassed the girl in the cafeteria, allegedly attempting to instigate a fight.

According to one of the girl’s parents, the victim had allegedly posted nude photos (supposedly of one of the bullying girls), starting the problem between the girls. Police are planning to the girls’ parents.

Tina Marie Briggs, 38, of 50 Sachem Road, was arrested April 13 at 12:40 a.m. on charges of driving with a suspended license.
