NK Police Log: Woman Allegedly Breaks Ex's Surveillance Camera

Woman Allegedly Break's Ex-Boyfriend's Surveillance Camera

Margaret Budzyna, 39, of 20 New Lexington Rd. in North Kingstown, was arrested Aug. 30 at 4:20 a.m. on charges of domestic vandalism and larceny.

According to Budzyna’s ex-boyfriend, she had ripped off a surveillance video camera that he had mounted on his house, breaking the camera and its wiring. When the man went to his front door to confront her, she asked if they could talk. When he answered no and shut the door, Budzyna allegedly left, with the video camera.

According to reports, the man told her to replace the camera or he would be contacting police. She gave him a bag later that day with a replacement camera, but no new wires.

Two days later, Budzyna allegedly again tried to drop off the same bag with the replacement camera and damaged wiring. When the man saw that there were no new wires in the bag, he went outside to tell Budzyna as she was attempting to drive away from the residence. According to the man, Budzyna accelerated and struck the man in the buttocks with the hood of her car.

According to Budzyna, she inadvertently broke the camera while trying to swat at a bug. She also told police that her ex-boyfriend jumped on the hood of her car and she did not strike him intentionally.

Budzyna was arrested and released on $5,000 personal recognizance.

 

NK Man Charged With Breaking Drinking Glasses

Jason Lee Scarber, 36, of 78 Asqah Drive in North Kingstown, was arrested Aug. 31 at 10:25 p.m. on charges of domestic vandalism and disorderly conduct.

Scarber allegedly smashed two drinking glasses during an argument about a family member’s drinking problem. After smashing the glasses, Scarber allegedly poured out the rest of the alcohol in the house. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance.

 

Exeter Man Hit With Pot Possession Charge

Andrew H. Wallace, 24, of 22 Lantern Ln. in Exeter, was arrested Sept. 1 at 4:36 a.m. on charges of possession of marijuana.

Police found Wallace’s car unlocked with the keys in it outside of According to police, an officer found a jar of marijuana inside a backpack in the car while looking for the identity of the car’s owner.

When officers finally made contact with Wallace, he stated he had been at the bar to watch a Red Sox game but went to a friend’s house afterward in an attempt to “do the right thing.” Wallace allegedly admitted to officers that the 15.6 grams of marijuana in the bag was his and that he regularly smokes marijuana.
