DUI Suspect's Blood Alcohol Tests Nearly Four Times Legal Limit

Wendy Lynn Williams, 39, of 69 Shady Lea Road in North Kingstown, was arrested Aug. 17 at 9:30 p.m. on charges of drunken driving.

Police put out a bulletin for Williams’ vehicle after another motorist reportedly saw her car swerving on Post Road. Police pulled Williams over on Roger Williams Way in Quonset after allegedly seeing her speed and swerve in and out of lanes, nearly colliding head-on with two other cars.

Williams allegedly told police she was leaving the laundry mat in East Greenwich and was heading to to pick up her husband. According to police, Williams denied drinking that night and inadvertently gave an officer her debit card instead of her license.

Police reportedly had to stop Williams’ field sobriety test for her own safety: According to an officer at the scene, Williams was unstable on her feet and needed police assistance to prevent her from falling to the ground. During a preliminary breath test, Williams’ blood alcohol content allegedly measured at .306, almost four times the legal limit. At the North Kingstown Police Department, Williams took another breath test, this time allegedly registering BAC of .292 and .284.

NK Woman Allegedly Calls Officers 'White Supremacists' During Arrest 

Donnetta M. Hall, 41, of 101 King Phillip Drive in North Kingstown, was arrested Aug. 18 at 1:30 a.m. on two counts of assault, one count of disorderly conduct and one count of resisting arrest.

Police arrived at Hall’s home after the father of her children called police to report that Hall was inside his car beeping the horn and disturbing the neighborhood in the middle of the night. When police arrived, Hall was allegedly “agitated and loud” and still refused to leave the man’s car.

According to reports, Hall was especially vocal about her hate for the officers on scene, calling them “white [expletive]” and “white supremacists.” Hall allegedly stated that she hoped all officers at the scene would die. She later added that she wanted their mothers to die as well, according to reports. Police also noted that Hall appeared to be intoxicated. Inside the home, Hall allegedly threw full soda cans at an officer. After struggling against officers, she was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct.

During processing at police headquarters, she allegedly refused to answer simple questions (such as her date of birth). At one point, Hall allegedly had an outburst when police tried to stop her from grabbing a piece of paper underneath a nearby desk. She reportedly kicked an officer during the outburst. While in her cell, Hall allegedly began to climb on top of the sink and toilet fixtures and kick the water release button. According to police, she also urinated on the floor of her cell and was splashing water everywhere, using her shirt, which she removed while in the cell. Rescue personnel brought Hall to the hospital after she repeatedly hit her head against the wall and floor.

NK Fire, Police Respond to Car Fire at Stop & Shop

A local woman may have a few choice words for her mechanic after last week. According to police reports, a Saunderstown woman was driving her car after getting her power steering repaired when she noticed that smoke was coming from her car and that her steering wasn’t normal. After pulling into the Stop & Shop parking lot off Ten Rod Road, a passerby told her that her car was on fire. No injuries were reported and no other vehicles were damaged during the fire.

Jeremy Michael Cook, 29, of 100 Rawlinson Road in Coventry, was arrested Aug. 18 at 9:21 a.m. following a bench warrant for his arrest.
